Heart failure is a clinical syndrome that arises because of the declining power the heart pumps. Why other kinds of anemia, hypertension, thyrotoxicosis, coronary heart disease or heart valve disorders.

- Acute heart failure is usually a sign of left heart failure with pulmonary edema
Acute: severe shortness of breath and rapid breathing, coughing when lying down, and cyanosis.

management of Heart failure
- Patients with heart failure need to rest according to the weight of the disease. on severe symptoms, lie half-sitting is best. The next activity adapted to the physical ability of the heart.
- Patients should limit their salt intake.
- Diuretics furosemide 40 mg tablet 1-2 times daily is useful as a drug   for a single sign of heart failure prominent dam. diuretics
This can be provided without digitalis if no tachycardia.
- When used with digitalis diuretics should be given KCI 500 mg 1-3  times daily by mouth, by monitoring levels of Na +  and K +  plasma.
- In more severe heart failure may be required digitalis. digitizing should be done slowly with digoxin 0.25 mg / day.
- Whenever possible, give oxygen.
- Patients who demonstrated a complaint in a state of rest or a pulmonary edema with symptoms should be referred to the hospital, previously given used furosemide, KCl and digoxin.
